Once upon a time — on a slightly chaotic Tuesday, fuelled by too much coffee and an overflowing to-do list — a determined mother of one, in her 34th year of living, had a brilliant idea and a though f**k it life's to short! 

She thought What if she could gather all those quirky, joyful treasures she and her friends were always hunting for, and bring them together in one place? No endless scrolling. No bland basics. Just a lovingly curated collection of accessories, home décor, kids’ goodies, and gifts that make you smile and say, “Where did you get that?!”

Building Thimble & Frigg wasn’t just about picking items off a shelf. It was late nights of planning, endless lists, sourcing the best finds, and making sure every piece had that special spark. It was creating a little world full of personality, soul, and charm — built from scratch.

And the name? There’s magic there too.

Thimble might seem small, but it carries big meaning. Used throughout history as love-tokens and symbols of important moments, thimbles represent care and connection. Remember Wendy’s thimble in Peter Pan? A tiny symbol of a kiss. But beyond that, thimbles also stand for transgression — stepping beyond the ordinary — which is essential for growth and personal development.

Frigg is a key figure in Norse mythology — wife of Odin, goddess of motherhood, love, and clairvoyance. She could see the future but rarely shared it, not even with Odin himself. Fridays are named after her, a nod to her importance and enduring presence. Her name comes from a word meaning “to love,” perfectly capturing her essence as a symbol of love and protection.

Together, Thimble & Frigg embody the spirit of love, strength, protection, and the beautiful journey of growth.

The owner who is she you say? Well I’m — the heart, hands, and apparent brain behind Thimble & Frigg. Born and bred on the beautiful Isle of Wight, I’m a 34-year-old mum who believes life should be filled with soul, sass, and things that make you grin.

My career journey has been anything but boring. I started out in healthcare management, where I learned the importance of care, organisation, and keeping things running smoothly. But everything changed after my son was born — suddenly, life took on a new meaning, and I found myself drawn to the world of wedding events management. I loved creating memorable moments and managing the beautiful chaos that comes with big celebrations.

Now, as a virtual PA, I combine all these experiences — care, organisation, creativity, and hustle — to fuel my true passion: Thimble & Frigg.
